Pain In The Bump is a small team of female Physiotherapists from the North of England who came together under their shared interest in all things maternity, with the added bonus that they are all mums themselves. They wanted to create a research-based platform for pre and postnatal ladies to come for reliable medical advice and information, on any of their symptoms or ailments, especially those pesky aches and pains that just won’t go away.
The main objective of the website is to engage quickly and effectively with a demanding audience who were looking for straightforward and simple advice or products to ease their symptoms. As part of the initial brief, the website had to focus on a variety of ways for visitors to find answers to their symptoms – including functionality where visitors can click locations on a body graphic and it will serve those symptoms, or filter by the menu, or complete a simple search. Therefore we used WordPress to complete this website as the ladies can post 1 post and assign it to various locations throughout the website with ease.
Soon after launching the website it was a great success – having ranked highly on Google totally organically for key search terms relating to maternity, pregnancy, and symptoms.
